Finding a Place

Several of my friends were in the process of getting married at about the time that we got engaged, and all of them said, first and foremost, find a place for the reception. Well, Matt and I thought we'd kill two birds with one stone and have both the ceremony and the reception at the same place -- a hotel perhaps, because Williamsburg is competely saturated with hotels. So I started calling around. I took a day or two off and visited a few places. At one of them, the Fort Magruder Inn, the woman showing me around insisted that I was familiar to her. And for that matter, she was familiar to me, too. We tred to figure out where we've seen each other. Grocery store? Movie theater? No luck.

A few days later, as I was getting ready to head out the door to work in the morning, there was a knock at the door. Matt opened it. It's the woman from the hotel -- and I realized where we'd met: She lives about two doors down from me, and we run into each other almost every weekend doing the laundry!
