This is mostly to just give everyone a quick explanation of why I haven't written anything lately. And so I have something posted for the month of March. :-)

Basically, for this month, I've been assigned to Testing, where I have to test the applications that the company is going to be releasing fairly soon, and make sure they don't break too easily. Testing is in a building across the parking lot. So, I get in to work in the morning, check my email, answer any of it that I have to, and then wander across the street.

Testing is, mainly, a large room with computers along the walls. No real good place for surreptitious web surfing, or entry composition. And while I don't spend all my time over there, I am sort of running back and forth from there to my regular desk during the day, trying to keep my regular programmer-type duties from being too badly neglected.

Testing is moderately mind-numbing work. My mind is numb.

I actually started to write an entry at the beginning of the month titled "Sound & Fury" about John Rocker, and the demands from some Atlanta groups that the only right thing the Braves could do at the point was to trade Rocker. A summary of my reaction to those protesters is something like "Grow some balls and demand they fire him outright or knock it off with the 'as long as it's not near us it's okay' stance."

Anyway, sorry I haven't been able to post any of my usual scintillating entries. I'll try to do better in April.
