We have just received notification from our satellite service partner regarding a transponder change that will affect customers who use the WidoSAT satellite Internet service and will require changing a setting in the satellite software...
StarConnect recently upgraded all the major components of our system. So far the benefits of this upgrade have been seen with faster connection times and a lot of secure websites that used to be inaccessible are now working. Along with the upgrades to our hardware and software we are going to have to change some settings on every end user's system on July 1st 2008 at approximately 7:30 am. There are explicit instructions for all users on www.satnow.net. The changes take an average of one minute to finish with any of our modems.
The new symbol rate is 6400 and the Frequency is 11726.
Please feel free to call our office (757-253-7621) if you need help making the required changes.
